Zemo's patience is seemingly unwavering when he sets his sights on something. His desire to see things through to completion is rather infamous at this point, isn't it? So it shouldn't be a surprise that he turns up at Bucky's doorstep one day. It shouldn't be a surprise that his morbid fascination with the Winter Soldier would lead him here.
And it shouldn't be a surprise that men like him never stay in prison if they don't have a desire to be there.
He can't decide if it's a surprise or not, standing outside a rather... quaint house. Quaint. A farmhouse? He hadn't thought a man that had essentially been stripped down to a weapon would have any use for such a place. Then again, it makes sense if one wants to live off the grid, far away from most civilization. It isn't as if he has qualms about being outside a city-- his father's place had been much the same. Far out. Safe.
Until it wasn't, of course. Then Sokovia fell and his family died, hidden out in that very place.
He still hasn't decided yet, if that's the fate he has planned for the man inside the house. He'll figure it out -- later.
He isn't entirely heartless though. He won't harm Bucky in front of his dog, or the dog itself. Quite the contrary -- he bends forward to pet her when she nears, holding out a hand for her to sniff before he attempts any petting. "Hello, there."
There's a smile that twitches at the corner of his lips. "You're not here alone, are you? Where would your master be..."
oh, no... perfect, haha. Hope Bucky likes being snowed in in the winter 😤
